  Ahh, Physics.

  I had a look back through my old Facebook messages between Molly and I. 

  I sent this to her in October 2010, and we ended up with Ms Taylor teaching us Year 11 Physics the following year. 

  “Sorry, but, I don’t think I could cope with Ms Taylor. I can picture Mariah shouting at her, you doing the ‘Molly argument’ thing, Sonia with her head in her hands, Leon and Connor being like ‘fuck off, im not doing your work’, and then everyone else playing frisbee with their books. Somebody would storm straight out of the classroom too.”

  So, other than Connor leaving our class, this turned out to be almost 100% accurate. Also, Mariah doesn’t shout.

  Last day of Year 11

  The whole idea of finishing school and completing compulsory education was all a little surreal up until today. I could only really imagine what the last day would be like, but today was a great day that involved a lot of laughter, photos, hugs, memories and a few tears too. 

  I’m back there for two more lessons and a final farewell assembly tomorrow, but today was the last day of uniform and it seems odd. I’m never going to have to put a school uniform on ever again. 

  It’s weird to think that, for some people, this could be the end of learning. Some might not go to college, some might not go to sixth form and some might not go on to do apprenticeships or training. They could either go straight into work or go and slob about on a sofa with the dole feeding into their savings account. 

  I’m not saying it will happen, because I’m optimistic about the future, but it could happen. 

  I got all sorts of great messages written on my t-shirt, my favourite being ‘Pussy Patrol’ from The Inbetweeners and Gobbles wrote ‘Live long and prosper’ which was equally as cool. 

  Ah, I’m going to miss that school and those people. I don’t even know whether or not I’m returning for sixth form, as I also have a place elsewhere, but yeah. 

  *cue the end of these somewhat cheesy post*
